Switzer has unveiled their Porsche 911 Turbo-based F900. Described as a "flex-fuel fire-breather," the 900 hp (671 kW / 912 PS) model was specially designed for a customer who wanted "A real, usable, daily-drivable street machine that, at a moment's notice, could pull up to an E85 station and rip off a pass in the low 10s. Or 9s, ideally." While the car feels like a standard P800 when it's running on petrol, Tym Switzer says "Once you get it on the ethanol, though, it really takes off. Just like the race gas cars." Detailed specifications were not released, but the model has been equipped with "monster" intercoolers, a CNC-machined Y-pipe and Switzer turbochargers. There's also a "series of specialized sensors feeding data back to a stand-alone ECU solution that adjusts injection and timing on the fly, ensuring an appropriate tune for whatever fuel is handy."
